...enthusiastic response from both audiences and critics have been a major part of Laszlo Pap's career as soloist, chamber musician and orchestra leader around the world. Born and trained in Hungary, he received his early musical education at the Bartok Conservatory and at the prestigious Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest. His graduation recital was broadcast live in 1992. He subsequently became soloist for the Hungarian Public Radio and first violinist with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra. Laszlo Pap has performed in the most illustrious European concert halls in Austria, Italy, Germany, Spain and many Scandinavian countries. He is featured soloist in recordings with such recognized orchestras as the Arpeggione Chamber Orchestra, the Budapest Chamber Orchestra, the Czech Moravian Virtuosi, the Hungarian Virtuosi and the I Musici Estensi. In 1994 Laszlo Pap moved to the United States where he has served as concertmaster for the Palm Beach Opera and the Palm Beach Pops, associate concertmaster for the Symphony of the Americas and first violin with the Florida Philharmonic. He has toured Argentina, Aruba, Brasil, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and San Salvador as soloist with the Symphony of the Americas 'Summerfest' series. Laszlo Pap's worldwide solo engagements include performing in such renowned theaters as the esteemed Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, playing Piazzola in the legendary Sala Piazzola of Mar del Plata, the centennial celebration of the famed Teatro el Circulo in Rosario, concerts in Tokyo, Nagasaki, Shanghai, the Vigado Theater in Budapest and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. His new CD is featured in Italy celebrating the 40th anniversary of the musical "Hair" and the events of 1968 in the production of Federica Pozzo/ G.A.P. Dance Company with lyrics by Giovanni Cagna.
