This key position within the Symphony organization serves as the primary point of contact for our subscribers and patrons and reports directly to the Executive Director, assisting with operational projects and marcom activities, particularly in the areas of e-marketing and social networking. Responsibilities include: Subscriptions – Ticketing - Receive and process single and subscription ticket sales.
- Interface with ticket holders and field inquiries.
- Distribute tickets and coordinate with the BCPA box office.
- Handle ticket table at each concert
- Identify and coordinate volunteers as necessary for manning a SOA table at community events
Telephones - Answer general office calls, check voice mail and return phone calls.
Office Support - Document, maintain and all records of concerts, events, advertising and promotions
- Copy and fax as needed
- Maintain office supply inventory
Guilds and Activities Support - Interface with Symphony Society Members and event chairpersons as necessary for administration of each fund-raising event, including database management.
- Handle mail and email reservations for events and post to spreadsheet for use in onsite registration at each event.
- Handle all credit card charges and processing for tickets, reservations, CD sales, etc.
- Assist Executive Director as needed.
- Assist in coordination of fundraising events.
Communications - Perform data entry for e-Tapestry database, maintain contact lists for both hard copy and email communications and generate mailing lists and labels as needed
- Send follow-up thank you letters and any other continuing communication to subscribers, advertisers, donors, sponsors and board members.
Marketing – Website Maintenance and Social Media - Assist in the management of supporter ads and blogs on website
- Assist in maintenance of e-commerce page with products
- Assist in maintenance of Facebook and Twitter pages
- Assist in forwarding new content postings to Facebook and Twitter followers
- Assist in posting and/or monitor new blogs and comments on website
- Coordinate website for single and subscription ticket sales through the Broward Center
Requirements: Self-starter, requiring minimal supervision. Must have excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience with mail merges. Good at multi-tasking with ability to handle complex projects; work well under pressure. Excellent phone and personal networking skills. Experience with e-Tapestry fundraising software desired.
