Principal French Horn![]() Biography Eric Kerley is a graduate of South Dade High School in Homestead Florida. Following two years at a small college in western New York and a 3-year enlistment in the US Army, he was accepted as a performance major at the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. While there he performed as an extra and substitute in the Cincinnati Symphony and Cincinnati Pops orchestras. One year after graduation in 1979, he became the 4th horn of the (Miami) Florida Philharmonic. Since that time, he has occupied positions in the South Florida Symphony, the Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, and the (Ft. Lauderdale) Florida Philharmonic. From 1994 through 2001, Eric worked primarily in Europe playing for touring productions of Broadway musicals. His current appointment as principal horn with the Symphony of the Americas is in it's 3rd season. |
